The Wellness and Recovery Academy
Mental Health Management & Substance Use Recovery
Interim, Inc.’s Wellness & Recovery Academy (“The Academy”) is a trauma informed program that supports adults with managing their mental health and substance use symptoms. Participants receive at least four hours of treatment per day. The day treatment program is an effective alternative to residential treatment and a great option for those at all stages of recovery from a substance use disorder. The program is also suitable for those transitioning from a residential treatment program or those needing more support than an intensive outpatient program or outpatient program.
Therapeutic Services
The Academy uses wellness and recovery principles and trauma informed practices to assist each client to develop coping and recovery skills. Clients can reclaim their independence and are given the tools to maintain it through:
- Skills building groups
- Process groups / group therapy
- Community meetings
- Adjunctive therapies including behavioral activation and creative expression
Treatment
The evidence-based practices we use include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Trauma-Informed Care
- Motivational Interviewing
- Seeking Safety
- Harm Reduction
- Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
These modalities are tailored to the client’s specific mental health or behavioral needs. We provide clients with a full evaluation to ensure the services being offered align with the client’s needs.
Day Treatment Program Structure
We offer a daily schedule that includes at minimum 4 hours of therapeutic groups per day. Our team of professionals works with clients at our site in Marina, CA to develop the skills they need to succeed.
All services incorporate a strengths-based and recovery focused model and welcoming approach to assure services are based on individualized goals.
